Executive Team Member Job Description:

As a Executive Team Member at Deon Policy Institute, you will play a crucial role in assisting our team scale up its impact, build its brand and expand its reach! Executive team members manage day to day operations for Deon Policy Institute. They set the direction of the organization, oversee the development of policy proposals, source new projects, identify potential contributors, and engage with policy experts and key stakeholders in Greece.

We are currently looking for help with tasks related to marketing, social media, outreach, partnership development, and grant proposals. However, once you are a member of our executive team you will also learn more about the organization and get to support in tasks that make a dent in Greek policy making. You will be working closely with our executive director as well with other members of our executive team. For the moment, your responsibilities will include:

1. Marketing & Social Media:

  • Assist in the development and execution of social media content, including posts, graphics, and scheduling.

  • Monitor and engage with our social media audience, responding to comments and messages.

  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement marketing strategies.

  • Track and report on social media analytics to measure engagement and growth.

2. Outreach & Partnerships:

  • Research and identify potential partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.

  • Assist in preparing outreach materials, including emails, newsletters, and partnership proposals.

  • Support the coordination of meetings and communication with partners and external organizations.

  • Help maintain a database of contacts and partnerships.

3. Grant Proposals:

  • Assist in researching grant opportunities relevant to our organization's mission.

  • Help draft grant proposals and funding applications.

  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary documentation and information for proposals.

  • Maintain records of grant submissions and outcomes.

You can be responsible for one, two or all three of those domains, depending on your previous experience and time availability.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for public policy and a desire to make a positive impact on Greek society.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Greek is a strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Previous experience in similar tasks is preferred.

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with a strong interest in policy are encouraged to apply. You do not need to be a political science, or international relations major to apply. All disciplines are welcome.
